Warehouse Manager

Job Description

Our clients are looking to recruit an experienced, highly reliable Warehouse Manager, successful in managing teams and driving them forwards. This role requires a strong leader who is self-motivated and thrives under pressure. There will be full ownership of the warehouse operation, ensuring maximum efficiency in this modern, well equipped facility. Responsibilities will be to safeguard health and safety procedures and ensure all staff on site comply with company policy.

  • Manage the picking, loading & unloading of equipment in the warehouse 

  • Manage the quality control of all hire equipment

  • Organise the repair and maintenance of equipment to the company’s high standards

  • Stock control and management of stock processes

  • Willing and able to work flexible hours and always commit the time required to get the job done

  • Some weekend / evening work will be required

  • Identifying any gaps in current processes, ensuring they are recorded, and that new steps are put in place to resolve

  • A quick thinker and natural problem solver, able to make accurate and informed decisions, working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Be responsible for induction training for all new employees

  • Ability to multitask and prioritise

  • Take full responsibility for the: site; security; condition; tidiness and internal processes

  • Well-developed management and leadership skills are vital

  • Contingency planning skills required

  • Candidates must be computer literate to an intermediate level and be confident using warehouse management systems

  • Ability and experience in performance management, including conducting appraisals

  • Working closely with the operations management team. 


  • Full Clean UK driving licence

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehouse management position is compulsory, with a knowledge of transport preferred.

Normal working hours are Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm

£25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
