Our client has an opportunity for a Purchasing Administrator to join their busy team based in Bedford.
You will ideally have a basic understanding of purchasing and supply chain, be a strong communicator, administrator and have had experience with a business system like MRP, SAP or Sage.
They will be responsible for expediting overdue purchase orders, managing supplier data, and arranging logistics of products and suppliers.
Manage unacknowledged and overdue purchase orders, and expedite suppliers to maintain delivery dates.
Resolve invoice discrepancies between suppliers and finance
Co-ordinate inbound and outbound logistics, between suppliers and customers
Advise Buyers and procurement colleagues of price increase, potential late deliveries material shortages
Hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm
This is an ongoing temporary position which could become permanent in the future.
