Purchasing Administrator

Job Description

Our client has an opportunity for a Purchasing Administrator to join their busy team based in Bedford.

You will ideally have a basic understanding of purchasing and supply chain, be a strong communicator, administrator and have had experience with a business system like MRP, SAP or Sage.

They will be responsible for expediting overdue purchase orders, managing supplier data, and arranging logistics of products and suppliers.

Duties:

  • Manage unacknowledged and overdue purchase orders, and expedite suppliers to maintain delivery dates.

  • Resolve invoice discrepancies between suppliers and finance

  • Co-ordinate inbound and outbound logistics, between suppliers and customers

  • Advise Buyers and procurement colleagues of price increase, potential late deliveries material shortages

Hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm

This is an ongoing temporary position which could become permanent in the future.
