Accounts Assistant

Job Description

Our client based in Flitwick is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a high volume, busy office environment.

Main responsibilities will include:-

  • Maintaining Purchase Order files

  • Assisting with the processing of supplier invoicing, including coding

  • Assist in coding and processing expenses

  • Completing weekly payroll

  • Preparing and processing supplier and subcontractors payments

  • Assisting with Credit Control, maintaining cash books and bank reconciliations

  • Preparing and updating spreadsheets for cash flows

  • Completing financial returns on a quarterly basis for VAT returns

  • Assist in duties necessary for meeting year end accounts/management accounts deadlines

  • Other Ad-hoc Accounts based duties, where required

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, positive, reliable and presentable with excellent IT skills and a good understanding of Microsoft packages, especially Excel.

Working hours are Monday- Friday 8am - 5pm paying £20,000 pa (negotiable)
